I have been so busy with my website over the last few months that I haven't even bothered exploring squidoo.com, despite all the hype. I decided to pay it a visit yesterday, and I love it! What a great little way of making money on the internet, along with building a links network for yourself!
You can add so many things to it, including googles adsense, ebay autions, cafepress goods plus lots more. And earn commission on any sales that come from your 'lense'. I wish i had of checked it out sooner.

Sir Sir Alex?
Any one else watch man u against barcelone tonight? What a game! I was on the edge of my seat until the end. And that strike from Scholes really couldn't of been any sweeter. Yet another tactically masterminded vicotry... can Sir Alex be doubled knighted? If we win the double this year then he will certainly be worthy of it.
Been looking into travelling to Moscow for the final, but the damn airline services are already cashing in, lots of ticket prices 3 times higher over the 21st of next month (the days before and after). I really want to be in moscow, but £700 for a flight?
If there is anyone out there reading this, who has found some reasonable ticket prices to Moscow for the campions league final then please give me a heads up :)

A Basic Guide to SEO
What Is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is the process of optimizing your website to get as high a ranking as possible for your key phrases in search engines, thus bringing you hundreds, even thousands, of targeted visitors’ everyday. People are forever arguing about the algorithms search engines use to rank sites, but in my experience, the highest amount of relevant inbound links will rank top. By relevant I mean links with anchor text related to the search. So if a search is made for ‘fishing’ and you have 10 million links to your site, all with the anchor text ‘fishing’, you will rank number 1!
The Key to a Good SEO Campaign
The key to being successful is to plan it well. For this I would recommend using quality SEO software. There are lots of different companies offering SEO software so find one with features that appeal to you. The basics features you want are; to be able to search key phrase popularity (helps you determine your niche and the phrases you want to optimize for), check your rankings for your key phrases (this way you can keep an eye on your campaign very easily) and find link partners. You can find free tools around that will do these things.
Building Links
This is the part that takes the most work. After you have found related keywords in your niche, which don’t have too much competition but a reasonable amount of daily searches, you need to start building links to your website, with your key phrase as your anchor text. To do this you can write articles, comment blogs, find link partners or even join related forums and have a key phrase rich signature pointing at your site. There are hundreds of ways of achieving this, but as of yet, without black hat techniques, there is no real short cuts around this. Sorry.
Keeping It Going
Writing one article, commenting one blog, finding one link partner and joining one forum will not get you ranked high. You have to keep at it and be building on it all the time. Your competitors will be. Don’t expect immediate results either, it could take months for a search engine to pick up on a link pointing at your site, but it will happen! Be patient and carry on building links. It will take at least 3 months for any big differences to take place so don’t get disheartened when you don’t become number 1 overnight. SEO is an ongoing campaign and the effort must be put in for good results.

There are literally thousands of ways to make money from the internet today, from real estate to PTC sites, but I still think I can answer this question with two simple words. Affiliate Marketing.
Have you heard all the hype about this seemingly mysterious industry? Seemingly mysterious to a lot of people that is, but so simple for those who understand it and use it to their advantage. I love this industry for many reasons including the fact that you don’t need your own product or website, yet you can make millions each year from it… and it’s so simple!
When you become an affiliate you basically become part of an external marketing group for a certain company or product. Every time you make a sale (using you tracking code) you earn a high commission (usually between 50% and 75%). So why is being and affiliate marketer so great? Well as I’ve already stated you don’t your own product or website to become rich. All you need is to know how to promote your products well. Another reason why I believe affiliate marketing is the best home based business you can run is because it’s free to set up! Now making money online from things such as PTC sites and reading emails is also free… but the money is extremely poor even when the time and effort is put it. Need ANOTHER REASON? How about the fact you don’t even need to find your own products and services to become an affiliate of!? That’s right! All you do is simply search your key term, find related products and start promoting them.
One more? Experience isn’t even needed to get started and be successful. Although starting out is very daunting, there are some amazing step-by-step guides around to help, written by gurus such as Michael Cheney and The Rich Jerk! Many guides are scams though and offer pointless, useless and unrelated information. However, never let the scammers put you off and stop you starting your home based business. A lot of internet marketers with mounds of experience write some amazing guides, which if followed and implemented properly will make devastating profits in a matter of weeks! I should know, I’m a customer of many and i started off with no experience either!
Sound too good? Ok nothings perfect and this is no exception. There is a downside unfortunately. You actuality have to work!!! Affiliate marketing isn’t for everyone because some people just want something for nothing. But if you're good at writing (ie: can spell and construct sentences properly) and you have a willingness to learn and work at it, then the sky is the limits. Yes you have read that right.. 6.5 billion dollars. With a little reading up and learning (from people who know what they’re talking about), you can easily start to earn your slice of this very lucrative pie.
